Lee O'Connor

Lee is an ex Air Traffic Controller, now a self-taught painter and jeweller working from her studio in Greece, where she lives now after moving from Headcorn two years ago. Her paintings are vibrant and contemporary. She paints in the Impressionist style, using a pallette knife to lay acrylic on in thick textural layers. The trees, landscapes and seascapes of Kent and Greece are an ongoing inspiration.

Lee has recently branched out into the exciting world of polymer clay, with sculptures, wall pieces and jewellery.

In Lee's jewellery, bold freedom of design ensure that her pieces are wearable works of art – each one making an individual statement. Her silver bangles are sculptural and organic in form, sometimes even figurative. Her work is guided by modernist aesthetics and a fusion of the ancient arts of silversmithing and sculpture.

She has established an impressive portfolio with her paintings and jewellery, commanding interest both nationally and internationally and her work is represented in many galleries and private collections world wide.
